Simple Revolution

Simple RevolutionFrom the design of the iPod to the uncluttered Google home page, simple ideas are changing the world. They can change the church as well.

In the book, Simple Church, by Thom S. Rainer and Eric Geiger, Christians are called to make a clear return to the simple gospel-sharing methods of Jesus. No elaborate, multi-level outreach strategies required. Simple churches are thriving, and they are doing so by taking four concepts to heart: Clarity > Movement > Alignment > Focus. Each idea will be closely examined in this study, simply showing why it is time to simplify as a church.

Based on information and case studies in Simple Church, scripture, and many months of prayer and preparation by our FC Staff, a simple process for making disciples will be presented via video teaching and table-group discussion. This will not be another program, but a time of discovery as we are challenged with a revolutionary way of thinking about and doing church. As a body we will re-discover God’s process for making disciples, and together develop and unite behind a single, focused purpose for moving people through the stages of spiritual growth. Changed lives are the bottom line; Christ formed in people is the goal.

FC Wednesday night activities offer an all-church family dinner at 5pm, followed by the "Simple Revolution" video and table group dicussions at 6:00pm.
